Christine Hackford
Executive Director
Christine Hackford obtained her bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences with an emphasis on Consumer Economics, from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. This has proved to be a great asset throughout her 23 years with Project Response, Inc. As a long-standing member of the Project Response team, her primary concern has been to ensure the best quality of care for individuals and their families affected by HIV. For her continued efforts with clients and her passion for community education and testing, in 2016, she was nominated for and recognized on “The POZ 100 List” which celebrates people working to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Chris is married to Joseph Hackford, has 3 adult children and enjoys time with her grandchild. She has a great admiration for the courage she has witnessed from clients’ dealing with HIV and AIDS, and compliments that with her tenaciousness spirit and “never gives up” attitude. Continually seeking new opportunities for the agency and the community, she spearheaded and directed the creation of the Project Response Testing and Treatment Center that opened its doors in October 2017.
Elizabeth Lambert
Accountant / Manager
Liz Lambert was born in Victoria, Texas but the family moved across country near Elimsport, Pennsylvania where she grew up on a farm. There she honed her skills as a hunter. Her nickname, Tracker, was bestowed upon her because she was highly skilled at tracking down her prey. Liz has been a team member of Project Response, Inc., for 17 years and is the Accounting Director. Throughout that time her tracking skills were apparent as she consistently tracks down and corrects staff financial calculations. Penn State is where Liz obtained her accounting education. Liz is an avid gardener and she has made the same connection with client care; to cultivate their spirit, be consistent and not miss attention to maintenance. Liz recently adopted a kitten named Pumpkin to keep company with her dog Rosie. As you can see, Liz is always on the move whether at work or at home in the garden or spending special time with her family.
Michael Pecko
Medical Case Management Supervisor
Michael Pecko, Case Management Supervisor, hails from Memphis Tennessee and is the oldest of 9 siblings. With an extensive background in HIV/AIDS care since 1990, he brings a wealth of experience to the agency. Michael earned his Master of Arts degree in Theology from Oblate College in Washington D.C. Not only has Michael provided outstanding Case Management services for clients throughout his career, with his counseling theological experience he has guided clients through difficult time. In 2015, he re-established a support group for clients and their families and friends at Project Response. The support group continues to expand with a diverse membership. Michael feels that working with this population is much more than just a job and truly appreciates the diversity of people he has met along his career path. This has guided him in his travels abroad, which he hopes to continue in the upcoming years. Living on the beach in Cape Canaveral is a life-style that he treasures.
