Certified HIV Awareness Class 1pm

An event every month that begins at 1:00 pm on day Second of the month, repeating indefinitely
Project Response offers a Certified Florida Department of Health and/or a Florida Department of Children and Families compliant HIV Awareness Classes. This class is appropriate for those who have been ordered by a judge to participate in such class as part of their sentence. You do NOT need to be a resident of Brevard county to participate in this class, as the instructor of this class is certified by the Florida Department of Health, which meets all the required standards. The fee for this class is $25 and upon completion of the class, each participation will received a singed original Certificate of Completion. Only cash or money orders are accepted for payment.
Although this class does not offer continuing education units or credits (CEU’s), the course is appropriate for any new or long-term employee who is required to meet the standards pursuant to Chapter 397, section 381.0035(1) of the Florida Statute which requires all employees of a licensed agency to complete a biennial continuing education course about HIV/AIDS with an emphasis on appropriate behavior and attitude change, including Florida law, testing, and confidentiality of test results, and treatment of patients.
Please come prepared for the class and be prompt. There may be some reading requirements as part of the curriculum, so if you wear glasses to read, please bring them with you. If you DO NOT speak fluent English, please inform us when you register. We have staff who can assist as an interpreter for both Spanish and Creole.
